Where you'll work:
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three times per week. This position is located in West Hollywood (Preferred) or San Francisco.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Monitor Tinder bad actor detection platform health, ensuring integrity and user safety. Proactively identify and address any underlying issues related to career bad actors on the platform, both existing and emerging, in order to keep Tinder members safeConduct comprehensive data analysis to identify patterns and anomalies associated with bad actors. Utilize data analytics software to analyze, manipulate, and process large data sets efficientlyDrive enhancements to detection mechanisms and algorithms, aiming to optimize bad actor identification and mitigate Tinder member exposure to harmShowcase expertise in designing and implementing efficient and resilient engineering solutions to tackle and withstand complex adversarial challengesForm technical solutions to address complex bad actor detection problems, as driver and owner of the corresponding domainCode complex and efficient Spark SQL queries on datasets in the scale of hundreds millions of rowsAdopt best practices and set high engineering standards for the team, form engineering and investigative recipes for the team to adoptMentor and technically lead other members on the team when solving a problem;Collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders including Product, Policy, Engineering and Member Experience when solving a problem
What we are looking for: 3+ years professional experience in Python, SQL or other big data queries, such as Spark3+ years professional experience in creating and maintaining algorithms3+ years professional experience in using data visualization tools such as Grafana, Mode and Tableau3+ years professional experience in exploring data in search for actionable intelligence3+ years professional experience in performing data analytics in a python notebook environment, such as DatabricksExceptional communication and presentation skillsBonus points if you have:Professional experience in data analysis or data scienceProfessional experience in Trust and Safety, intelligence, cyber security or related fieldKnowledge and familiarity with highly skilled and advanced persistent bad actorsExperience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior team membersBS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity or related field
