As our brand continues to experience rapid growth, we are seeking a customer-obsessed Retention Strategist to help deepen loyalty, drive repeat purchases, and turn one-time shoppers into lifelong brand evangelists.</p><p></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The Retention Strategist role is ideal for someone who blends data-savvy lifecycle marketing skills with the empathy and creativity to nurture a high-value customer community. With experience in email/SMS marketing, loyalty strategy, and customer engagement, the right candidate will be both a strategic thinker and a tactical executor.</p><p></p><p><strong>You’ll play a key role in shaping how we build brand love and grow customer lifetime value, particularly among our most loyal fans, including our exclusive VIP Facebook community.</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Lifecycle &amp; CRM</strong></p><ul> <li>Build and optimize Klaviyo flows (post-purchase, replenishment, winback, etc.) to drive repeat purchases and engagement</li> <li>Develop customer journeys tailored by product affinity, purchase cadence, and engagement level</li> <li>Own segmentation and personalization strategies across email and SMS</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Community Strategy (VIP Facebook Group)</strong></p><ul> <li>Lead engagement and programming for our exclusive Facebook group of high-spending customers</li> <li>Develop and manage a content and events calendar (live sessions, sneak peeks, founder notes, AMAs, etc.)</li> <li>Foster a sense of belonging and brand affinity through member recognition, user-generated content, and feedback loops</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Loyalty &amp; Referral Strategy</strong></p><ul> <li>Identify opportunities for exclusive offers, rewards, and referral incentives that support retention goals</li> <li>Partner with creative and CX teams to execute new loyalty moments, milestone recognition, and surprise-and-delight campaigns</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Customer Insights &amp; Reporting</strong></p><ul> <li>Monitor and report on retention KPIs: repeat rate, time-to-second-purchase, LTV by cohort, and group engagement</li> <li>Translate insights into strategic tests, marketing briefs, and optimization opportunities</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>2–4 years of experience in retention or lifecycle marketing at a DTC or digital-first brand (CPG/beauty preferred)</li> <li>Experience managing or contributing to owned community spaces (Facebook Groups, forums, loyalty clubs, etc.)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or similar ESPs; comfort with building flows, segments, and analyzing performance</li> <li>Data-literate with a clear grasp of LTV, churn, repurchase rate, and how to move those metrics</li> <li>A deep understanding of customer psychology and how to create emotional resonance through messaging</li> <li>Clear and confident communicator with strong copywriting instincts</li> <li>Highly organized and proactive—comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment</li> </ul><ul><li>A genuine passion for customer experience, beauty culture, and brand storytelling</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Familiarity with Shopify, GA4, and e-commerce tools a plus</strong></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Why Work with Subtl Beauty?</strong></p><p>Joining Subtl Beauty means becoming part of a leading brand that is setting new standards in the beauty industry.
