In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients within the ER and specialty veterinary hospital segment, focusing on our Practice Systems products, Instinct EMR and Instinct Treatment Plan. You will utilize a combination of cold and warm outreach strategies to identify, engage, and close sales opportunities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling into ER and Specialty Veterinary hospitals, is technically savvy, a deep understanding of the veterinary industry, and a passion for exceeding targets.</span></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;">What You’ll Do 🐱💻</span></strong></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Identify and target prospective ER and specialty veterinary hospitals through proactive outreach and lead nurturing.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Own a book of target accounts that are worked regularly to build and close pipeline from.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Conduct needs assessments, deliver presentations, and negotiate terms to close sales.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Serve as a trusted advisor, provide support, and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Manage sales data in CRM and provide regular forecasts.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Track performance metrics and collaborate with other teams to improve sales strategies.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Stay up-to-date on industry trends and expand professional knowledge.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Develop a deep understanding of ER and specialty veterinary hospital needs.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Who You Are 🐱💻</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Must Haves:</span><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">5+ years of experience in sales, with a consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Proven ability to conduct both cold and warm outreach effectively.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Experience owning a book of target accounts and building pipeline from within those.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">An understanding of how best to pair with an SDR to drive quality pipeline.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to close.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Strong negotiation and closing skills.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales tools.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Ability to travel as needed.</span></li></ul></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Nice-to-Haves:</span><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Knowledge of veterinary practice management systems and workflows.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Experience selling SaaS products</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">Prior experience selling software solutions to the veterinary industry, particularly to ER and specialty practices, is highly preferred.</span></li></ul></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>How Instinct will Care about YOU 🌞</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We offer a supportive and caring work environment.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We are transparent, open, honest, and empathic, both internally and externally.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We pay our team well. </span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We offer medical, dental and vision benefits and 401K with match.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We give our team owner-like flexibility over work and time-off, including time to innovate and Flow State Fridays.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We offer a generous stipend that can be used for almost anything to allow you to bring your best self to work.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We offer a rewarding employee stock plan so that you share in our success.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;">We provide all-expense-paid time throughout the year together, including at our annual retreat.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:14px;">Total Compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $200,000.
