This role requires someone who can own the day-to-day accounting functions while helping to scale financial operations in a high-growth environment.</p><p></p><p>This is a hands-on role for a highly motivated accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven company. Experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and online retailer portals (e.g., Walmart, Target) is highly preferred.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Own the day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, and GL maintenance.</li> <li>Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.</li> <li>Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.</li> <li>Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports.</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure proper accounting of COGS, inventory, and retail/digital channel revenues.</li> <li>Work closely with external tax, audit, and financial consultants.</li> <li>Support financial compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.</li> <li>Maintain and optimize accounting systems including QuickBooks Online and Bill.com.</li> <li>Help integrate and reconcile data from retailer portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link, Target Partners Online) and DTC platforms.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Must-Haves:</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li> <li>Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, including work in CPG or retail product-based businesses.</li> <li>Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.</li> <li>Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com.</li> <li>Experience with CPG sales channels, particularly big-box retail and DTC.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and prioritize in a remote, fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Based in or able to work comfortably within U.S. time zones.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Nice-to-Haves:</strong></p><ul> <li>CPA or CPA-eligible.</li> <li>Experience with online retailer portals such as Walmart Retail Link and Target Partners Online.</li> <li>Familiarity with Shopify, NetSuite, or other ERP/ecommerce integrations.</li> <li>Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment.</li> </ul>
